Trying Something New… It’s a good thing

This is my very first blog post and frankly, I have no clue what I am going to say! I got so caught up in figuring out how to make my blog look pretty rather than what I am actually going to write. Many of my blog posts will be centered around fashion. But also I want to post about other things like faith and life in general. I am currently laying on my floor with a million thoughts swirling through my mind. So I figured right now was the perfect time to write out some of those thoughts…

Tomorrow I am flying to North Andros, the Bahamas for a mission trip. This is the first time I will be heading out of the country for mission work. I have done a couple mission trips in other states, but I was very excited when the Lord called myself, my mom and sister to take a step outside the U.S.  As glamourous as the Bahamas are, North Andros is a poor area with devastation from Hurricane Matthew. While we are there we will be involved in various restoration projects as well as a vacation bible school for the children in the church. I am so excited to see how the Lord will use me and the whole team this week. He has been so present to me during my preparation for this trip. He has put my heart in the right place and allowed me to have an all positive mindset… Something we all tend to struggle, including me, is selfishness. It’s human nature.  This week I want to focus on being self-LESS. I am there to serve others and serve the Lord and I could not be more excited to see what he has planned for the next 10 days. He is so good.  To the Bahamas, we go!!!  xoxo annalise
